We are very pleased to announce that Forest of Bere Bowmen are hosting the Southern Counties Archery Meeting (SCAM) this year.
It will be held on 8th to11th May.

York / Hereford Shoot
A UK record status and Rose award York / Hereford shoot.
The first one took place on Sunday 21st May 2023 replacing our longbow shoot.
It will be held on 18th May in 2025, with the addition of all the Bristol rounds. Hope to see you again.
It will be a friendly relaxed shoot open to all bow types 50+ and junior categories are available.
Rose awards will be available if you are shooting the correct distance for your age.
Team Challenge Shoot
A team shoot handicapped by bow type, shooting a Western, followed by a bar b que, to be held on 26th May in 2025.
This has changed to an open shoot, so County records can be claimed. It had previously been an invitational.
The shoot started in May 1994 to celebrate 20 years of FoBB.
Juniors are welcome but need to shoot the same round. There are no 50+ categories or individual awards.
Teams do not need to be from the same club, can be any 6 archers with a connection, i.e. Quicks, HAA .........
Full details of the team, awards, handicapping and selection on the day are included on the entry form.
Any queries please ask, I will even try and answer handicapping queries.

WRS WA Weekend
Our WRS WA weekend will be the same daily format as previous years.
Saturday WA70 Rec & LB. WA60 Rec & LB 50+ WA50 Compound & BB with 50+ categories.
Sunday WA1440 Rounds. 90m Gents, 70m Ladies & 50+ Gents, 60m 50+ Ladies.
There are no separate categories or distances for juniors.
This will take place on 5-6 July 2025 and will be held at the FoBB range near Horndean.
It will be a friendly relaxed shoot open to all bow types.

THE 46th CROOKHORN TOURNAMENT

The 46th Crookhorn Tournament will be held on Sunday 2nd November 2025 at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth.

The Crookhorn Tournament is a Non-record Status Portsmouth Round, held in the Mountbatten Centre Alexandra Park Portsmouth PO2 9QA and is one of the biggest in the south.
The Tournament is kindly sponsored by QUICKS ARCHERY,
We have an array of beautiful trophies covering Ladies,Gents (18 and over) and Juniors (under 18) for both a single and a double round in recurve, compound, barebow and longbow. Team awards are also available. There is also an "Improvers Award" for those competing in consecutive years with the same bow style. There are no 50+ adult or split age categories for juniors.
